    For me, the perfect bran muffins have molasses and raisins in them. This recipe for Molasses Bran Muffins is super easy and uses All-Bran breakfast cereal.

    This recipe for all-bran muffins with molasses uses basic ingredients that most people find in their pantries. They may not be the healthiest recipe available for bran muffins, but they are tasty.

    Ingredients needed for bran muffins

    • Canola Oil
    • Molasses
    • Milk or Buttermilk
    • Dark Brown Sugar
    • All-Bran Cereal
    • All-purpose Flour
    • Baking Powder
    • Baking Soda
    • Salt
    • Raisins

    How to prepare these molasses muffins

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
    2. In a medium to a large mixing bowl, whisk the egg. Next, add the canola oil, molasses, milk, or buttermilk and mix well. Whisk in the brown sugar.
    3. Add the bran cereal and stir well to coat. Let the cereal sit for a couple of minutes.
    4. Meanwhile, prepare the muffin pan by lining it with muffin papers or coating well with non-stick spray.
    5. To the cereal mixture add the flour, baking soda, salt, and raisins. Stir until combined.
    6. Scoop the batter into the muffin pan.
    7. Bake the Molasses Bran Muffins for 16 – 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean.
    8. Cool the muffins on a wire rack.

    Meanwhile, prepare the muffin pan by lining it with muffin papers or coating well with non-stick spray.

    To the cereal mixture, add flour, baking soda, salt, and raisins. Stir until combined.

    Scoop the batter into the muffin pan.

    Bake the Molasses Bran Muffins for 16 – 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean.

    Let cool a minute or two and remove the muffins from the muffin pan to cool on a wire rack. Using the paper muffin liners, the muffins will stick to the paper until they cool a bit.
