- Green Apple - (Granny Smith) diced

Variations
Use fresh pears in place of the apples.
For even more vibrant color, add fresh or canned Mandarin oranges.
Recipe Directions
Start by preparing the fruit. Rinse and dry the apples and grapes. Slice the grapes in half. Dice the apples into bite size pieces. Leave the skin on the apples for that vibrant color.
Pomegranate arils (seeds) can be bought ready to use. Or, use a fresh pomegranate and remove the seeds yourself.
Peel and slice the kiwi into bite size pieces.
For the pineapple, you can use fresh or canned. You will also want it in bite size pieces.
For the dressing, whisk together honey, orange juice, and lemon juice until well combined.
Pour the honey-citrus dressing over the fruit and gently toss to coat.
For added flavor, chop a little fresh mint and mix into the Christmas Fruit Salad.
For best results, prepare this salad about 30 minutes before serving. This gives the fruit salad flavors a chance to meld, without the fruit turning brown or soft.
Enjoy any left overs within a day or two, and keep left overs stored in the refrigerator in a covered container.
