Step-by-Step Recipe Directions
We are going to start this recipe by partially cooking the bacon. This will help get an extra crispy texture of bacon without overcooking the hot dog in the air fryer.
Step 1 - Partially cook the bacon.
In the Oven:
- Preheat to 350°F.
- Lay bacon on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 5 minutes, then remove.
In the Microwave:
- Place bacon between paper towels on a microwave-safe plate.
- Microwave for 1 to 1 ½ minutes (adjust as needed).
Step 2: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Wrap each hot dog with one or two strips of bacon, avoiding too much overlap.
Step 3: Place the bacon wrapped hot dogs in the air fryer basket.
Step 4 - Cook for 7 to 10 minutes, turning halfway through, until the bacon is crispy.

Recipe FAQ's
By partially cooking the bacon first, you can make sure that your bacon will get really crispy without over cooking the hot dog.
It all depends on the size of your air fryer. You want to place the hot dogs so that they are not stacked or touching.
The hot dogs should only take about 10 minutes. However, all air fryers are different. Check your manufacturers booklet about recommend times and temperatures.
