Antipasto is an Italian appetizer platter that includes cured meats, cheese, veggies, and olives. Our easy appetizer recipe is a festive way to celebrate the season and by being served in the shape of a wreath that is perfect for holiday parties.
Recipe Ingredients
- Leafy Lettuce
- Curly Parsley
- Bay Leaves or Fresh Basil
- Fresh Rosemary Sprigs
- Sliced Salami and/or Pepperoni
- Sliced Ham
- Mozzarella Pearls
- White Cheese Cubes - Pepper Jack, Gouda, White Cheddar, or your favorite type of cheese.
- Cherry Tomatoes or Grape Tomatoes
- Black Olives or Green Olives - Use your favorite kind.
- Red Bell Peppers
- Yellow Bell Peppers
- Pepperoncini Peppers
Step-by-step directions
Arrange the lettuce leaves in a circle on the platter, creating the base of the wreath.
Over the lettuce, arrange the parsley, bay leaves, and rosemary. This will serve as the bed for your antipasto ingredients.
You can also use any other herbs you might like such as fresh basil. Build up the greens to make a nice base for your Antipasto Christmas Wreath.
Start by layering the ham on top of the greenery in a circular pattern, tucking some sections of the ham under pieces of greenery.
Continue by adding some salami and pepperoni.
Next, add the cube cheese and mini mozzarella balls.
Add some bright color to the festive wreath using the red pepper and yellow pepper strips. Add the small tomatoes.
Finish off this beautiful wreath with the olives and pepperoncini's.
Serve this beautiful wreath with some crackers or crusty bread with an olive oil dipping sauce.
