Recipe Ingredients
- Medjool Dates
- Havarti Cheese
- Thick Cut Bacon
- Green Onions for garnish
Ingredient Notes
I like thick cut bacon. I cut in half, then I cut the halves in half. If you prefer more bacon, Use a half a slice of bacon per date.
Other mild cheeses you can use in place of the Havarti are Cheese Monterey Jack, Gouda, or a mild cheddar. I bet cream cheese would also be excellent to stuff these dates with.
Recipe Directions
Preheat the oven to 400° Fahrenheit. Split the dates and remove the pits. Slice the bacon and cheese into strips.
Open up a date and stuff with a slice of cheese. Wrap the bacon around the date and secure with a toothpick.
Place the bacon wrapped dates on a baking sheet. Bake the dates for 10 minutes, flip over and continue to cook for 10 to 15 minutes until the bacon has reach the desired crispiness.

Mom Tip
