- Fresh Salmon Filets - with or without skin.
- Olive Oil
- Garlic Powder
- Paprika
- Salt & Pepper
- Fresh Orange Juice
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Soy Sauce
- Honey
- Dijon
- Cornstarch
Optional Flavor Enhancers
- Sprinkle with a bit of fresh dill.
- Add a pinch of ginger to the glaze for warmth.
- Try a dash of red pepper flakes on the salmon for a bit of heat.
How to Make Orange Glazed Salmon
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the salmon dry and rub with olive oil.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Place the salmon on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until it flakes easily with a fork.
While the salmon bakes, combine orange juice, lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Bring to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Brush the glaze over the cooked salmon and serve warm.
Tip
You can take the salmon out of the oven a minute or two early, brush it with the glaze, and return it to the oven to finish cooking.
Mom Tip
In place a salmon, I often use Steelhead Trout. It is very similar to salmon and sometimes easier to find in the grocery store.
