These Nutter Butter Chocolate Chip Brownies are quick, easy, and a perfect recipe for kids that are just learning to bake.
My daughter hasn’t shown a lot of interest in learning how to cook. Every once in awhile she does want to help me out a little, but usually she quickly finds something else to do. Over this past weekend, she was walking around the house being ‘bored’, I asked her what she wanted to do. “I just feel like baking something!” she said.
So, we went to the kitchen, grabbed a box of brownie mix, a package of Nutter Butter Cookies, and some chocolate chips, and then we made these Nutter Butter Chocolate Chip Brownies! I think we make a good team!
We used the Duncan Hines chewy fudge brownie mix. The package had directions for ‘fudge like’ or ‘cake like’ brownies. We went for the ‘fudge like’.
I then took about a dozen Nutter Butter cookies and chopped them into pieces.
We mixed up the brownie batter and poured half of it into an 8″ x 8″ baking pan.
Then we sprinkled all of the Nutter Butter cookie pieces and about 1 cup of chocolate chips on top.
We then poured the rest of the brownie batter over the top and spread it around to cover all of the chopped cookies and chocolate chips. We baked it in the oven according to the package directions. It took ours a few minutes longer than the package instructed.
Let cool (if you can) and enjoy!
