They may look innocent, but these Habanero and Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies are packed full of flavor from the very first bite. First, you are hit with a burst of orange, followed by the taste of sweet, delicious chocolate. Then just a little bit of hit sneaks in.  Awesome! The perfect cookie to have with a nice tall glass of milk!

Habanero and Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

What do you do when your husband has a garden FULL of pepper? You start adding them to everything!

My husband and son were eating these wonderful cookies as fast as I could get them out of the oven. I quickly grabbed a few so I could take pictures.

My husband east of a lot of hot peppers, so he didn't feel the heat as quickly as I did. I was surprised at how much everyone enjoyed them. Very tasty!

Don't like the heat? Leave out the Habaneros and you will still have a delicious Orange Chocolate Chip Cookie.

Remove the seeds and veins of the Habanero Pepper, then finely chop it. I had about a good solid 1 teaspoons worth. You might want to wear gloves. Remember, don't rub your eyes! Wash your hands well after this part.

Fresh out of the oven. There are Habaneros hiding in there somewhere!

These are excellent and were a big hit at work. The orange is sublime and gives a wonderful aftertaste. I made them first without any changes to the recipe and just now with triple the habanero because I like it. Thanks for posting this recipe.
