Recipe Ingredients
- Cheese-filled Ravioli
- Alfredo Sauce
- Cooked Chicken
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Parmesan Cheese
- Fresh Basil
Variations
- Different ravioli - You could easily use spinach or mushroom ravioli in place of the cheese ravioli for some added vegetables.
- Half the recipe - This recipe is very hearty and can be easily cut in half if you don't want to deal with leftovers.
- Adjust the sauce - Alfredo sauce is thick to start with, sometimes I like to dilute it with a little bit of milk - maybe ⅓ of a jar - to lighten the meal up just a bit.
Instructions
Cook the ravioli according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 13-inch by 9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, add the chicken, half of the alfredo sauce, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, half of the basil, salt, and pepper.
- Step 2: Stir the ingredients until combined.
- Step 3: Spread a thin layer of alfredo sauce into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Step 4: Add one-third of the chicken mixture.
- Step 5: Repeat the layers ending with the ravioli.
- Step 6: Spread the remaining alfredo sauce over the top layer of ravioli.
- Step 7: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese on the top of the casserole.
- Step 8: Bake the Chicken Ravioli Casserole until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Top with a bit more chopped basil or parsley if desired. Let cool slightly and serve!
Storage
Store any leftovers, covered and in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
