How to make an Apple Galette
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Take two pieces of refrigerated pie crust dough(or enough homemade dough for a double crust) and press them together.
On a piece of parchment paper, roll out the dough to a 12 inch circle. Place the parchment paper with the dough on the baking sheet. Set aside.
Peel, core, and slice the apples to ¼-inch thickness.
In a large bowl, place the apple slices, 3 Tablespoons flour, granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix together.
Place the apples into the center of the pie crust dough leaving about a 2-inch border. Spread the apples our evenly.
Start folding the pie dough border up over the apples, working your way around the circle.
In a bowl, add the butter, ½ cup flour, brown sugar, and ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Mix using a fork, or your fingers, to make the crumb topping.
Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apples.
Bake the apple galette for 40 to 50 minutes until the apples are tender.
