Warm, rustic, and full of apple cinnamon flavor, this Simple Apple Galette with a crumb topping is easier than pie! Top with caramel and ice cream for the perfect cozy dessert.
Place the cinnamon apples into the center of the prepared pie dough. Make sure to leave a 2-inch border of dough. Spread out the apples evenly.
Start to fold up the dough border over the top of the apples, working your way around the circle.
In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix the crumb mixture together with a fork, pastry cutter, or your fingers. Place the crumb topping over the apples.
½ cup All-Purpose Flour, ¼ cup Brown Sugar, ½ cup Butter, ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
Bake the Apple Galette for 40 to 50 minutes until the apples are tender. The crumb topping and pie crust will be golden brown.
Let cool for at least 10-minutes. Serve as is or with any desired toppings.
Notes
You can use homemade pie dough in place of the refrigerated pie dough. Make sure you have an amount equal to 2 pie crusts. Vanilla Ice Cream, Caramel, and Whipped Toppings are wonderful served with this apple galette. Store leftovers covered and in the refrigerator. Rewarm leftovers for a few seconds in the microwave if desired.
