Recently I found a recipe for Ginger Orange Glazed Chicken Wings in an issue of The Costco Connection magazine. Once I saw this recipe, I knew I had to try it. I didn’t have all the ingredients their recipe called for so I switched things up a bit and came up with Baked Orange Ginger Chicken Wings.
The original recipe called for hoisin sauce, which I did not have, so I added a bit of soy sauce instead. I also made a couple of other minor adjustments and then I let these babies marinade for 3 days! They were delicious and super easy to prepare.
My husband and son are both huge fans of chicken wings, so the 2 lbs didn’t go far. Next time I will definitely have to double the recipe.
Orange and ginger are the perfect combination in these sticky, yummy Baked Orange Ginger Chicken Wings. Perfect for game day, parties, or an anytime snack.
Baked Orange Ginger Chicken Wings
2 lbs. Chicken Wings
1/2 cup Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate, thawed and undiluted
1/2 cup Orange Juice, I used fresh squeezed
2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Canola Oil
2 tablespoons Sugar
3 tablespoons Fresh Ginger, minced
3 cloves Garlic, minced or finely chopped
Mix together all the marinade ingredients and add the chicken wings. I used a large zip-loc bag. Store in the refrigerator for several hours up to several days. Turn the bag every so often so that the chicken wings get well covered by the marinade.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking pan with foil and coat well with non-stick spray. Reserve the marinade, and place the wings on the baking pan. Bake for 20 – 25 minutes and then remove the pan from the oven. Flip the wings over and brush with a coat of the reserved marinade. Throw out any remaining marinade. Bake the wings for an additional 20 – 25 minutes until they are browned and cook through.
Carefully remove the chicken wings from cooking sheet (they are a little bit sticky) and serve. Enjoy!
