- Maple Syrup
- Orange Juice
- Milk
- Cinnamon

Over the past few years or so, sweet potatoes have become more of a staple. They are so easy to fix, there are so many different ways to prepare them, and they have some great nutritional value.
Whether you like them for a lite lunch or a side dish, they are great to keep on hand. This recipe for Easy Mashed Sweet Potatoes is one of our favorite ways to serve them.
How to prepare this recipe
- Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut the potatoes into uniformly sized pieces. The larger the pieces the longer they will take to cook.
- Place the sweet potatoes into a saucepan. Cover with water and bring to a boil over medium to medium-high heat.
- Boil gently, until they are done. You will be able to insert a fork into them easily.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pan.
- Add the butter or margarine to the potatoes and allow it to melt.
- Using a potato masher or an electric mixer lightly mash the potatoes.
- Add the remaining ingredients and continue to mash until the sweet potatoes are nice and fluffy. Adjust any ingredients as needed for texture or taste.

I love sweet potatoes too! Though I am in the minority at my house I can find other sweet potato eaters when I visit my mom and sister. I love how you put orange juice in these too, what a great idea!
