1 ¼cupsWater
8ouncesEgg Noodles
1cupSour Cream
1tablespoonWorcestershire Sauceoptional
1tablespoonParsleychopped
Instructions
Over medium to medium-high heat, warm up a large skillet.
Add the ground beef, diced onion, and the seasoning. Crumble the beef as it cooks.
Once the beef has browned, add the beef broth, water, and Worcestershire Sauce if using. Bring to a boil.
Add the egg noodles to the boiling liquid and give a good stir. Cover and cook the noodles according to the package directions.
When the noodles are ready, turn off the heat. Add the sour cream and stir until completely combined. Either top with or mix in some parsley if desired.
Notes
Use ground turkey in place of ground beef if you prefer. Just add a drizzle of olive oil to the pan before adding the meat. Sometimes I use 6 ounces instead of 8 ounces of noodles so we have more sauce. Plain Greek yogurt or a can of cream of chicken or mushroom soup can be used in place of the sour cream if needed. Reheat the stroganoff on the stove or in the microwave. Noodles that are mixed with the sauce will be a bit thicker than if you cook and store them separate. Just add a splash of beef broth or water while reheating.
