Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 375-degrees.
Cream the softened butter or margarine with the granulated sugar and brown sugar.
Add the egg and vanilla and mix until creamy and fluffy.
Next, add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Either continue to blend with a hand mixer or use a wooden spoon or rubber spatula.
Fold in the chocolate chips and dried blueberries.
Drop by rounded tablespoon full, or use a cookie scoop, onto a baking sheet. Place the cookie dough at least 2 inches apart.
Bake in a 375-degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Cool for a minute on the baking sheet and then remove cookies to a cooling rack or a sheet of foil, parchment, or wax paper.
Notes
Adjustments to this recipe...
You can definitely use semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips if you prefer them over the dark chocolate.
Either light brown sugar or dark brown sugar work well.
Try dried cherries or other dried fruit in place of the blueberries. I bet dried cherries or raspberries would be amazing!
