Wash and trim the green beans, chop the bacon, and dice the onion.
Add the green beans, bacon, onion, and garlic to your slow cooker.
Pour the broth over the top, and season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally if desired.
Cook abut 1 hour long for more tender green beans. Serve!
