Instructions
Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut the potatoes into uniformly sized pieces. The larger the pieces the longer they will take to cook.
Place the sweet potatoes into a saucepan. Cover with water and bring to a boil over medium to medium-high heat.
Boil gently, until the sweet potatoes are done. You will be able to insert a fork into them easily.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pan.
Add the butter or margarine to the potatoes and allow it to melt.
Using a potato masher or an electric mixer lightly mash the potatoes.
Add the remaining ingredients and continue to mash until the sweet potatoes are nice and fluffy. Adjust any ingredients as needed for texture or taste.
