These lightly sweetened brown sugar and butter Glazed Carrots are a delicious vegetable side dish perfect for the holidays or weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

ounces
Baby Carrots
or carrots of your choice

tablespoons
Butter

tablespoons
Brown Sugar

Salt
Instructions
Wash, peel, and slice carrots if necessary.
Place carrots in a medium saucepan. Cover the carrots with water and sprinkle with salt.
Bring the water to a boil. Cook the carrots until fork tender. This will take 5 to 10 minutes depending on the size of the carrots.
Drain the carrots and set aside.
Using the same pan, melt the butter along with the brown sugar and a dash of salt over medium heat.
Bring the brown sugar mixture to a light boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for a minute.
Add the carrots and stir well. Coat all of the carrots with the sweetened glaze.
The glazed carrots are now done and ready to serve.
Notes
If you are making these sweet carrots for the holidays, you can make them the day before and just reheat them for your holiday meal.
