This Cinnamon Twists recipe is super easy and delicious. Since this recipe does not use any yeast, you can have finished cinnamon twists ready to serve your family in less than an hour!
Mix together the dry ingredients.
Add melted butter and buttermilk. Mix using a sturdy spoon.
Turn the dough out on to a floured work surface.
Knead the dough until you can form a ball and the dough is workable.
Roll our the dough until it measures approximately 12 x 16 inches.
Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon filling. Spread the filling over half the dough.
Cut the dough into 12 strips.
The easiest way to do this is to cut the dough in half, then in half again. Cut each sections into 3 strips.
Twist each section 2 or 3 times to make the twist. Place the 12 twists on to a baking sheet and bake.
Let the twists cool slighty and place on rack or a piece of parchment paper. Glaze the cinnamon twists if desired.
