Okay kiddo (I'm talking to my son and anyone else that would like to listen) here is the recipe for the Thai Roast Beef Sandwich Rolls that I made the other day.
And they are so simple to make. This is something that you will be able to make on your own and even store them in the fridge for when you need a quick bite.
You know, the ones that you said were delicious and a nice snack or lite meal.
So whether you are home or off to college, remember to make a batch of these sandwich rolls now and again.
It's like taking a roast beef sandwich to a whole new level.
Thai Roast Beef Sandwich Rolls
4 - 6 Flour Tortillas (8 inch)
¾ pound Roast Beef from the deli
Leaf Lettuce
Matchstick Carrots
Fresh Basil
1 ½ tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice
1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 tablespoon Fresh Ground Ginger (get a jar in the produce section of the supermarket)
1 tablespoon Minced Garlic
2 teaspoons Fish Sauce
½ - ¾ teaspoon Sugar
Mix together the lime juice, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, fish sauce and sugar. Set aside.
Assemble the sandwich rolls. Lay out the tortilla and brush it with a couple of teaspoons of the sauce mix. Add a layer of lettuce, roast beef, carrots and a little basil. Drizzle with a little bit more sauce, roll up the sandwich roll and slice in half.
Enjoy the Thai Roast Beef Sandwich Rolls immediately, and store in the refrigerator for a day or two for a quick meal or snack.
