My daughter has always been picky when it comes to veggies. Luckily, I have found a few ways to prepare certain vegetables that she will eat without any fuss. Sauteed Green Beans are at the top of her favorite veggie list.

    Sauteed Green Beans

Thankfully, they don't always have to be smothered in cheese sauce to get her to eat them. She loves green beans, and while she would rather have them deep fried, she will also eat these Sauteed Green Beans. They are simple, and done in just a few minutes. I often use this same exact method for asparagus.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound Green Beans
    • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
    • ½ teaspoon Salt
    • ¼ teaspoon Pepper
    • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder optional
    • ⅛ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional
    • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese

    Instructions

    • Clean and prepare fresh green beans. I use about a pound, or a little bit more.
    • Heat a skillet over medium high heat.
    • When the pan is warm, drizzle with a little olive oil. Add the beans and sprinkle with salt and pepper. You can also add a little garlic powder if you like, and/or a little sprinkle of red pepper flakes to add a touch of heat.
    • Cook and stir the green beans until they are still slightly crisp, but not no longer really firm. I used the thinner French Green Beans and they took about 4 -5 minutes. You may need to cook a little longer if you are using the larger green beans.
    • Remove from heat, put on serving dish if you wish, and sprinkle with a little bit of Parmesan Cheese.
    • That is it. Super simple and healthy.

Those green beans look delicious. We are getting burned out on our beans, but this would be a fun way to switch them up!
