Dried Orange Peel and ground Cardamom add just a hint of extra flavor to these super easy, Orange Cardamom Drop Biscuits with Honey Butter drop biscuits.
This is my kind of breakfast! I bought some dried Orange Peel at Cost Plus but haven’t had much chance to use it. This morning I thought I would try it with some Cardamom in drop biscuits. Served it up with some Honey Butter and a cup of coffee. Works for me! Fresh orange peel would work great too!
Orange Cardamom Drop Biscuits with Honey Butter
Orange Cardamom Biscuits
2 cups Flour
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
2 tablespoons Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon dried Orange Peel
1/2 teaspoon ground Cardamom
1/3 cup melted Butter
1 cup Milk
Melt butter and set aside. Mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, orange peel and cardamom. Add milk and melted butter to the flour mixture and stir just until combined. Drop biscuits by the heaping tablespoon full onto a greased cookie sheet. You should get about 12 biscuits.
Bake in a 450 degree oven for 10 – 15 minutes, until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
1/2 cup Butter, room temperature
1/2 cup Honey
Whip butter using an electric mixer. Add the honey and continue to whip until well combined and fluffy. Serve with warm biscuits. Yum!
