I was looking through a Bobby Flay cookbook when I found a recipe for Blackberry Cheesecake Milkshake. It looked so good, and of course, the kids were eager to try it. (So was my husband)
This is different than Bobby Flay’s recipe, and it may not be as good, but the family really enjoyed it.
Blackberry Cheesecake Milkshake
1 cup fresh Blackberries
4 ounces Cream Cheese
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Vanilla Ice Cream
This is how I made 4 milkshakes.
In the blender combine the 1 cup of blackberries, 4 ounces of cream cheese, and just a little bit, maybe a tablespoon or two, of milk. Blend well to get the cream cheese mixed in.
Than add about 3 or so cups of vanilla ice cream, 1 cup or so of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Our blackberries were a bit sour so I used 4 tablespoons of sugar. I started with 1 tablespoon of sugar, and kept adding to get the flavor just right.
Adjust the amount of milk and ice cream to get the consistency you like. Add more cream cheese if you want a stronger cheesecake flavor.
