    Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps

    I have been looking for ways to eat a little healthier and lighten up some of our meals. These Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps are definitely a great way to have a simple, delicious, and lite lunch or dinner.

    I made them with ground turkey, fresh ginger, garlic, and just a few other ingredients. I was surprised at how much my family enjoyed them!

    Ingredients needed

    • Ground Turkey
    • Olive oil
    • Butter lettuce
    • Green onions
    • Carrots
    • Shallot
    • Fresh ginger
    • Fresh garlic
    • Red pepper flakes
    • Soy sauce
    • Rice wine vinegar
    • Salt

    How to prepare this recipe

    To prepare the Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps...

    1. Wash the leaves of the butterhead lettuce. Set aside to dry.
    2. Peel and grate the carrots, chop the green onions, and set aside.
    3. Heat pan over medium heat, add olive oil and ground turkey. Crumble turkey while it cooks.
    4. After cooking the ground turkey for a bit add the seasonings. Stir to release the flavors.
    5. Then add the soy sauce and rice wine vinegar. Cook until completely done.
    6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
    7. Scoop turkey into a piece of lettuce and top with grated carrots and green onions.

    Easy to prepare (I like this!), everyone enjoyed them (I love this!).

    These Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps are made with ground turkey, fresh ginger and garlic, and a flavorful combination of other flavors. Lite and yummy!

    Ingredients

    • 1 head Butter Lettuce
    • 1 Carrot peeled and shredded
    • 4 Green Onions chopped
    • 1 lb Ground Turkey
    • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
    • 1 Shallot chopped
    • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger grated
    • 1 teaspoon Fresh Garlic chopped
    • ¼ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes to taste
    • ½ teaspoon Salt to taste
    • ¼ cup Soy Sauce
    • 1 teaspoon Rice Wine Vinegar

    Instructions

    • Wash lettuce leaves and set aside to dry.
    • Peel and grate carrots, set aside,
    • Chop green onions, set aside.
    • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and ground turkey. Start to brown and break into small pieces.
    • While the turkey is cooking, just a little pink left, add the shallots, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, and a little salt. Stir and continue to cook.
    • Add the soy sauce and rice wine vinegar. Cook until the meat is done and adjust seasonings if necessary.
    • Scoop turkey into a piece of lettuce and top with grated carrots and green onions.
    • Enjoy!
