Simple Turkey Sausage with Pasta

  • 1 package ( 1¼ pounds) Ground Turkey
  • 1 teaspoon Fennel Seed
  • ½ teaspoon Sage
  • ½ teaspoon Thyme
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
  • Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes (if desired)
  • 1 can Italian Seasoned Diced Tomatoes
  • Olive Oil
  • 8 ounces Pasta (we used bow-tie)
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese, if desired
  1. Warm a large skillet over medium to medium high heat. Add a small amount of olive oil, the ground turkey, and all of the spices. Stir and cook until turkey is done. Add the can of diced tomatoes. The sauce is finished!
  2. While cooking the turkey, start your favorite type of pasta. When the pasta is done, reserve about ½ cup of the pasta water. Drain pasta and add to the meat mixture. If is seems a little dry to you, add a little bit of the reserved water.
  3. Top with Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy!
