Have you ever tried those dried blueberries covered in dark chocolate? The delicious chocolate melts in your mouth and when you bite down you get that slight twang from the dried blueberry. Yum!
I love those candies, and they inspired me to make these cookies.
Dried Blueberry Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies are moist and chewy. I used a good quality dark chocolate chip and dried wild blueberries. I know the blueberries can be pricey, but it is nice to splurge every once in a while. I plan on trying the recipe again with the regular size dried blueberries. I will update this post with the results.
For the cookies you need…
1/2 cup Butter, room temperature
1/4 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Flour
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 cup Dried Wild Blueberries
1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
Mix the butter and sugars together until well blended. Add the egg and vanilla and mix well. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. When all the flour is incorporated add the blueberries and chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for about 10 -12 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
